I was looking for a software that will put some extra sparkle to my Windows XP desktop. I have seen some window flipping function with Mac OSX’s and thought that it would be cool to have on Windows XP. A key combination would make one flip through desktop application window in a 3D view. I found a software that will just be able to do this is, WinFlip, which is a free download of 423 Kb zip file.
WinFlip requires Windows XP and DirectX9 to run. After download, unzip the file on a folder and launch the WinFlip.exe file. A WinFlip icon will then be added on a taskbar system tray.
Using WinFlip is easy as having key combination of Win + Tab to move forward and Win + Shift + Tab for backward flipping. The texture quality of the window could also be changed by right click the icon in the system tray and select the desired “Texture Quality”.
Those are just the basic instructions and there are more options to set when using. This I find flashy and useful when cycling through all the desktop application window. Quitting the program requires one to right click the icon in the desktop system tray and select “Quit” in the menu. As this is a free software, everyone is free to redistribute and download.

Freedom of expression or freedom of speech is one of mankind’s basic need. From time immemorial there where always differences in views and there are arguments. In the modern world of global virtual communities these freedom of expression is also embodied. Freedom is normally the battle cry of the oppressed.
There are venues for political debate, political chat and argument in the Internet through online forums. Some have even the least of moderation and rules which promotes openness. Another way is to maintain a blog or website to express ones self. I believe that certain kind of freedom also entails responsibility. Thus, it’s improper to just go and argue with everyone without thinking of the consequence of the actions.
Internet could be a medium of change through free speech. The global audience reach of the Internet could easily make your views spread. The beauty of the speech expression on the Internet is it’s audience and unmoderated manner.

Many unsuspecting people have been a victim of a simple way of getting their precious information when using public computer terminals. There are ways for to capture information like password or account username and others with the use of a keylogger software.
A keylogger is a program that is installed on a computer and it stores all keystrokes on an encrypted file which can be reviewed later. One could easily guess passwords based on the sequence of the keystrokes. This is similar to Trojan viruses that gets passwords and send them to a hackers email of choice.
There is another kind of keyloggers which is hardware based. This kind of keylogger is usually fitted between the keyboard cable and the computer. It could then be left in place after activation until certain information of interest like password is captured. Later the keylogger could be removed together with the file of keystrokes. The file is then examined for the password and accounts.
Anti-virus scanners could not detect a hardware keylogger as it is outside of the operating system of the computer. A software keylogger on the other hand is detectable as it is installed on a system even if it is installed stealthily. The keylogger installed in a computer either with a software program or hardware device could be illegal depending on its use. Thus, beware of public computer terminals they could be trap for invading your privacy with keylogger software.

Designing a blog theme is one of those most challenging task in setting up. Making the blog stand out from among the hundreds of thousands or even million of blogs is really something worth while.
On a WordPress Blog Platform; downloading some free themes is not enough. Making your own customized theme would make a mark out of the others. One of the things that is very visible is the blog header. Designing some header graphic with the use of Photoshop Patterns would make things easier. If you have limited patterns you could also download free Photoshop Brushes and Photoshop Patterns from website like http://www.brusheezy.com/. There’s a variety of patterns available to choose.
You would be surprised that mixing up some design patterns and over laying them would create a header theme design which is different from the original one. Creating original blog header graphics would be an art work, drawing out the artist in you. Your imagination and creativity could be the only limit to your design.

Getting to the top of the search engines requires a lot of study and planning. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a daunting task and is confusing. There are some things that I would say useful for a beginner. I myself have used this basic foundations in pushing up my blog search engine performance.
5 Basic Factors On Search Engine Strategy:
- Domain Name
This is one of less correctly used strategy. Having a domain name that have keyword phrases will definitely boost search engine visibility.
- Site Maps
Complex website could be difficult for search engine to crawl or index. Thus, a site map would really matter in facilitating web crawlers from indexing all the pages in your site
- Update Frequency
Having a site that updates daily three to four times is better than with one updated once a week
- Back links
A relevant link to your web page would matter a lot. Creating content that will be popular for inbound links from related sites with keyword phrases is a plus factor. Don’t just let them link to you with the site name or address.
- Content
Having content that sticks to the keyword or theme of the website will have a great impact. Search engines love a niche site. Something unique will definitely sell good on search engines.
Those are some of the basic things I have noticed that could increase search engine visibility and page rank. Sticking to those principles will give you an edge on the search engine optimization (SEO) arena. There a lots more of strategy, but those I believe will give a good impact for a beginner’s site.

Internet service is a very sought after commodity. I could not just imagine a life without Internet. Everything seems to revolve around the Internet. Flow of information, processing of data, and a whole lot more.
When I went to Boracay Island in the Philippines. Beside the long stretch of white sand beach are some computer shops that offers Internet access service. Even on vacation checking some emails once in a while is needed. Internet communication is very important even if you are having a vacation.
I was just toying the idea that maybe the same concept of having a computer business beside a beach will work in Hallandale Beach, Florida. In that area, I heard of Sands Brothers who are really interested in doing business partnerships. Maybe one possibility in such are is computer business such as Internet Cafe Shop.
An important factor in having success for an Internet business in this particular case is choosing the right location. If the area is right, your business will grow steadily. Having partnership with some locals who knows the community is an added bonus.

I have been comfortable using Windows XP SP2, but some users in our office runs Windows Vista already. I did not changed my operating system (OS) to Windows Vista are it’s using lots of computer resource. My old machine would be crippled if I use Vista.
Anyway, I was surprise to work on Windows Vista and the Run Command box which is the most important thing for me is missing. Yeah, I still need the command line to do things even on Windows environment. I get used to it compared to the graphic user interface (GUI). So, I was wondering if Windows Vista really junked the whole command line. Later, I finally found the Run Command.
I would not be able to find the Run Command in Windows Vista without changing the whole theme to Classic View. Just, right click on the task bar then select switch to Classic View. After which the Run Command button will show listed in the Windows Start button as one of the menu. Yeah, things are really getting different especially with this Windows Vista operating system.

The usefulness and popularity of mobile phone could not be denied. Every home have one of these gadgets. There are even those who sport more than one mobile phone. Maybe one for special family calls and another for business or work use. As the mobile phone technology gets better there are those who misuse it.
There are times that you’ll get annoying calls in the middle of the night. And to protect your privacy from these kind of calls is important. One way to prevent these is to have the caller’s number reported. It’s good that there are tools available like Reverse Mobile Phone Lookup which facilitates finding out the owner of the number calling.
You can easily do this by visiting an online site http://reversemobilephones.org and enter any phone number to find out who is exactly calling you. Hopefully, when these prank calls phone number owners are reported they’ll be brought to justice when apprehended.

Web 2.0 technology is a tech buzz word now a days. Developers are looking for a newer form of browser that could handle web applications. Thus, Google have released Chrome web browser which is purposefully built for web based applications. Chrome is unlike the content viewer concept of traditional browsers as it’s designed to be more of a platform or window manager for running web pages and web applications.
The Chrome browser is built around WebKit open source browser engine project which is also used by products like Safari web browser and many other OS X applications. The current release of Chrome is running only under MS Windows system. Plans of having later release for Mac OS X and Linux systems are already in place.
Though the speed of one browser might not be really noticeable compared with other web browsers having those minute differences in the rendering engine will spell a lot in computer resource consumption. I have seen browsers that gobble up a huge amount of RAM when running Web 2.0 applications that are heavily built on JavaScript.
You could download Chrome browser from the following URL or address:
http://www.google.com/chrome/
Here are some installation shots of Google’s Chrome browser.

Chrome lacks a lot of things yet, but it’s another open source web browser to watch and try. There is still more room for improvement and browser competition would really spur some innovation of sorts. So, we will expect to see more of increased JavaScript performance, advanced security processing, better web user interface, and other technological breakthroughs in web development.

Web applications are getting popular with the advent of what we call cloud computing. Cloud computing is a combination of technologies that allows ordinary people to use Internet as a medium of accessing web applications created using Web 2.0 as a service. This particular technology does not require people to have an expert knowledge and they can be accessed from a web browser. I’ve been looking for some web hosting tutorials that discuss this topic more as this is some how a new concept. Google Apps which could be plugged in to a web application without any much technical knowledge is an example of this.
The application is deemed to be scalable and could be used in a wide range of web hosting based solutions for small to large sized users in the manufacturers, entertainment industry, professionals, web designers, consultants, and private individuals and bloggers. Some of the hosting platforms require custom architecture and codes to make it possible for an application work thus this is quite a challenge. A web hosting rating which shows comparison of the various services offered when it comes to web applications scalable web hosting solution.
There are sure benefits of having a scalable platform such as spending lesser time coding towards custom APIs or data schemas. Normally these scalable hosting have load-balancing, clustering and redundant storage inherent in the system that host the web application. The scalable hosting solution is normally designed for high-traffic and high-performance websites. Thus, there’s no worry when your website grows bigger. The pricing also scales up proportionate to what you exactly need. No more, no less.
Checking on the web hosting solution prior to putting up an Internet web applications would be recommended. You might include some browsing on some web hosting awards for various hosting having this service. Making sure that your web applications doesn’t out grow your web resources when it goes popular is important factor in this kind of endeavor. Lastly, a scalable web hosting solution without any hardware to manage and complex devices to configure is a vital investment.

Communication is very important in businesses. I have seen many businesses that invest many things related to communication. There are land line telephone, mobile phones, pagers, personal communicators, PDA’s, portable computers, and more. There would be no successful business without a good communication network behind.
In the IT Industry for example short message service (SMS) is very important. I remember my friend who works on a big bank that runs some online services. The timely communication which informs the assigned system engineers regarding the occurrence of server outage would make a lot of difference on the business productivity. In this case there are personal pagers that could be triggered to send an alert via sms service to those concerned people that something needs to be corrected.
Another important application of generating better business value through short message service is through a message blast to inform all marketing staff of recent market changes. This will ensure timely changes in market pricing that will prevent loss of money. Those are just a few example of how SMS could impact business operations.
Mobile phones are very popular now a days as the list of features are becoming unlimited. In spite of these technology development a simple short message service (SMS) could be more appropriate and do more in some cases. There are a number of bulk SMS service provider like Message-Media.com that serves as a way of delivering better business communication. SMS opens numerous possible ways of cost effective and efficient way of connecting customers and staff, management and staff through messaging communication.

Education is one of those important factors that affects one future. Most successful people are having attained a certain degree of education. Distance learning through the Internet is becoming a popular option from the regular education from school. Home schooling have produced also good results. Major universities have already offered convenient classes through online learning. This is a good idea as distance barrier are not a problem anymore in securing a degree.
My neighbor, have studied from some open university, got a degree and have already been rewarded with a job from a prestigious institution. The online degree are as competent with that of the regular education system. The requirements of distance learning or home schooling is almost similar to that of the other normal schools.
Admission application essays or college application essay are one of the requirements where students need to go through when applying for online Internet education. Schools would like to test whether their incoming students are qualified to take a specific program of study. Investing in some ways of polishing our admission essay will be a good preparation in our endeavor.
Education could make a difference in our future, but not applicable for those who have street smart gifts that most popular information technology tycoons like Bill Gates, Larry Elison, and others. Web hosting are very common concern for a web developer. Whether the website is a simple personal blog or a complex business e-commerce site hosting is a key factor. A vast list of available hosting to choose from when I started blogging. It’s difficult to immediately spot the best website hosting provider for my blog.
I was considering of course the reliability of the hosting service. There is this notion that Windows hosting are prone to virus and security attacks, but I think these are changing already. Another concern I have regarding web hosting was security. I feel that Linux hosting have the advantage on this due to the open source community working on it. Maybe one will argue that this is not the case anymore, but still my preference is Linux on security area.
If you are not going to use some Windows specific technologies like asp or dot net in your website or blog, then Linux hosting would be better. My personal choice was Linux hosting for aside from the reliability, security, and efficient performance the price of which is much lesser. This might be because of the licensing schemes required to operate a Windows hosting.
I have read a nice article about what to consider when choosing between Linux and Windows hosting from the following article Linux vs. Windows Hosting - What to consider. I hope that will help you decide in selecting your new web hosting service. I really still believe that Linux hosting is the cheapest and most reliable hosting available.

One of the things that is unavoidable when using computer is the case of virus infection. I received a call from a friend who have her Dell OptiPlex 745 shutting down every after 3 minutes. I advised her to bring the machine for checking. During the weekend she came and brought only the CPU. Anyway, I have an LCD monitor, keyboard, mouse, power cables available at home. Later on when I checked the Dell OptiPlex 745 it doesn’t have any PS2 port for keyboard and mouse. I was forced to visit the nearby IT shop to buy a PS2 to USB adaptor. It was a time also to scout for some virus scanner software on sale that I could use for detecting the virus.
From the shop, I tried the keyboard and the mouse, but both device was not detected by the computer. There seems to be an obvious compatibility issue with new technologies. When I turned on the PC it just goes to Windows XP login page and freezes there as the input device could not be detected. I was stucked on this part and could not proceed. Before hand, I suspect the cause of the shutting down was due to virus, but could not confirm it yet.
I might be having some wrong diagnosis as the computer did not shutdown after some time. It still remained on the login page of Windows XP. There’s no other choice, but to bring it back to my friend’s place and test the computer there. I did not encounter any trouble after assembling all the devices and other peripheral to the computer and turning it on. The computer did not shutdown as described by my friend.
This sounds weird, but to make her feel better I advised her to install a McAfee Total Protection with Site Advisor Plus for protection in lieu of the free virus scanner installed on her Dell OptiPlex 745. Running the online virus scanner did not detect any serious virus, but we hoped that the problem is solved for good.

I have read of news that iPhone’s are literally getting hot. Some user’s complain of unusual hotness from iPhone gadgets. They even hinted that it might be enough to fry an egg. Well, my friend have an iPhone and he did not experience the same issue.
This might be because he’s using the earlier release of iPhone. Anyway, it would not even sway a little regarding the patrons of the phone. In Japan after a month of launching Apple’s iPhone 3G, mobile providers experiencing a dramatic following. It broke pessimistic views on limited interest in Japan.
Utilizing fully the capabilities of a versatile gadget like iPhone need some additional cell phone accessories. Apple iPhone additions like Firewire Sync cable, USB hot sync cable, portable travel charger, car charger, earphones and headphones, Bluetooth stereo headsets, car mounts, are some of the most common accessories.
Using simultaneously various phone accessories like doing email sync with a MacBook computer, charging battery, accessing data through firewire port, will surely some how make iPhone generate much heat. But the way I could see it, Apple’s iPhone is truly a hot commodity. Despite of the flaws in some release, it’s always improving making it a top mobile phone to reckon.

Photography hobby have evolved through the years. My wife have a Nikon D40x digital camera. Most of the time she brings it along with her to make use on every opportunity that comes. The photos taken are normally packed with cute kids, celebrations, party, special occasions, and more. Thus, she have a big collection of digital photo.
Storing or protecting digital photos is important especially when it’s a labor of love. Some of the photos she have is printed on photo paper. One could actually print or store them electronically on a web space or either an external hard disk which is readily available on sale from IT shops.
She normally store all of these on an external hard drive and only printed a few now and then. I could just imagine in the old days where we need to keep the film, but today we have digital photo frames to make alive the static photo images. External drives would be the best portable solution in keeping digital photos.
Having a big capacity external hard drive of 1TB would be more than enough to store all the images. Seagate FreeAgent Pro 1 TB which connects via USB 2.0/ eSATA/ FireWire is a good choice as it has fast read times and high-speed performance with 7200 RPM speed. Thus, sharing of photos could be done automatically and it’s also protected from unauthorized access with encryption.
It would be a disaster if we keep the most treasured digital photos in one storage media. We have heard computers that stores the only copies of special events in our life suddenly fails. The best thing to do is to store copies in different locations as possible. Thus, an external drive is very useful in this case.
I have tried storing some images on CD or DVD, but observed that some of it are gone and inaccessible after 3 years depending on the environment condition. Online storage could be a safe option of storing all the photos of memorable occasions like Flicker or Photo bucket. In my experience storing photo images on external hard drive would be the best solution.

Business blogs sometimes lack the luster it requires to catch the attention of would be clients. Business blogs possess a great opportunity to be more than just a money making cash cow. There are ways to improve the business or company blog that can work miracles for better customer relations. Unproductive business blog can always be revived and make productive. Let me share some of the points I have observed on business blogs. There are businesses that could compete and be successful even if they have a higher rate on their products or services.
The key to those success are customer satisfaction. Thus, improve your business blogging today with an emphasis on your clients or readers. Blogs are an investment and it will make you money if you know how. By nature, people would like to believe in something. Thus, when you write a post on your blog have some authoritative tone on the topic. This is especially true when as I’ve seen on shopping carts. It compels me more to buy the stuff or service. Delivering the message in layman’s terms. Sharing the little that we understand sincerely will make great strides for your blog. Conveying it through the blog in a more subtle manner.
Business blogs have comments portion and it is inevitable that we do get negative comments. Comments are a valuable way of seeing the point of a client or customer. Even the most annoying reader could have a valid point of view. A client that can express their view on a blog site will be most satisfied if answered properly on the merit of their case.
Blogs or company website of course need to have reliable web hosting. If you haven’t started with your business blog yet then you might consider HostingMetro.com - business web hosting. Any other web hosting will also do as long as you stick to customer relationship principle your business blog makeover will surely succeed. Regularly communicate with clients in a sincere and authoritative manner will make your business blog alive and will bag more money in the future.

Websites and blogs are sprouting daily. Who knows what’s the exact number, but does it matter? Every blogger that would like to maximize the benefits of my investment on the Internet arena would in some way be interested in search engine optimization (SEO). In the beginning, I don’t have much knowledge about SEO and how could I full benefit from it. It was only later that after some experiment on my site that I get to see the effects of SEO.
I would like to share a points which might be of interest to any serious blogger. I started blogging outright with some paid hosting web service, as my mentors in the industry have told me of the advantage of having a paid hosting. It’s a good start already as compared to having some free hosted site. Those were the times that I have little knowledge about the details of hosting services. After a year though of blogging, I have a bit of understanding about web hosting and how it affects a website’s search engine optimization.
Shared hosting would be cheap as a web hosting is shared by every client under one IP Address. I have been managing multiple website hosted on shared hosting. On my experience, links between those shared IP address hosting are having less value in search engine algorithms. Thus, dedicated hosting would give a blog or website edge in SEO. This is because of the static IP attached to a dedicated hosting service. Another big advantage could actually be setting up a number of static IP’s from different class-C blocks hosted on the same dedicated server.
Dedicated servers could give the owner great control for customization of server configurations like specific configurations on PHP settings which is not possible with shared hosting. Aside from that, email functionality is very much configurable to suit your particular needs through a CPanel. Of course the support available for dedicated hosting are much more than that of shared hosting.
Those are just some of the advantages of dedicated server hosting. The most important one I consider is the SEO benefit of it which in the long run out weights the cost. Everything boils down to making more income generated from the website or blog. I myself could say that moving to a dedicated hosting with static IP would be one of the best decisions for a website.

Searching for information from the web is a day to day undertaking. In my work I rely most of the time on Search Engine to help me find answers to questions at hand. It seems that when one is working with computers or Internet could never do without search engines.
I have encountered a new alternative search engine - RankNoodle.com which is a bit simplistic. As a starter I don’t expect much from this search engine. The main search engine page is a Search Box, Recent Searches and a listing of the Top 100 Searches. I tried searching, “Search Engine Optimization Website Branding Tool”, but the search box truncated it into “Search Engine Optimization Website ”.
Search results of ranknoodle.com is surprisingly different from Google. It starts with a summary or definition of the searched text, then followed by a related conversation to the searched text. I don’t know where the conversations come from. After those two is the web search result listing. There are comments, share, bury links at the bottom of each search result, but the links don’t work yet.
There are many things that needs to be done like About Us, Press, Community, have a standard page message of “Check Back Here Soon…”. It’s good at least they have the Privacy Policy, Terms of Use containing the same information. This new search engine comes from Las Vegas, USA as the Contact Us page of the site showed.
This Experimental Search Engine have to make a lot of changes to catch up with the current dominant search engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN, Altavista, to name a few.

Home video creation from photo images is one of my rewarding experiences. It takes some degree of computer creativity and combines photo, music, audio, and video editing skills. Video creation might sound a difficult task to do, but actually it’s fun. The only thing is it takes time to master the craft.
The process starts with creating a slide movie out of the photo images with software like Windows Movie Maker. In my experience using photos in their original form and size would be better as they preserve the quality of the images. After which music and voice could be added to the slide movie. A way of making your home video interesting is to add some video clips from DVD movies. One needs to convert DVD to AVI, MPG, WMV and use a video editor to crop the video clip.
It is advisable to store all media needed for the video like photo images, sound files, video clips in one working folder. This will facilitate easy access of the files from your disk drive when compiling the project. Making the video project DVD player ready is to store or burn them on a DVD disk with a DVD burning software like Nero Burning ROM software.
I have worked on home video projects using multiple software. One software for music and audio editing, another for photo editing, and another for video editing. Adobe Photoshop suits fine for all photo editing needs like cropping and rotating images. Editing audio, video and compiling the whole project could be done with an all-in-one multimedia application like Blaze Media Pro. The software have both audio and video converter, audio and video editor, audio recorder, video capture, plus DVD and CD burning software capability.
Creating DVD Player ready computer home video from photo images requires a bit of practice to master, but with the right kind of software it would be more easy.

MSSQL database is one of the Windows system based back end database that we are using for some of our in-house Visual Basic Applications. I have encountered some situation that requires me to check if some data from the one table (Alumni table) that is missing from another table (Student table). Logged in to the database console, I was using then the default system database user.
I’ve got difficulty in extracting information from across different schema. In Oracle database, I could just put the schema name before the table name separated by period. In MSSQL database it’s quiet different. Below is a sample of the MSSQL script to read from multiple schema with system user.
select * from [Alumni].[dbo].[Alumni]
where studentid is not in
(select studentid from [SIS].[dbo].[Student])
The syntax would be [Schema Name].[dbo].[Table Name]. It took me sometime to figure out, but finally things worked out well. This works with MSSQL database version 7.0, but I haven’t tested it in other newer versions. I hope this one works the same for other MSSQL database versions.

I am looking for some powerful desktop computer to replace the aging Compaq Evo D510 small form factor machine at home. The machine have been with me for like 4 years and it’s maybe time to replace it. I never have played computer for long, but on weekends I find time to play to relax. Dell XPS 730 H2C would be a good choice as it comes with some over clocked CPU, DDR3 RAM, H2C hybrid cooling system. The machine have the latest Intel, Nvidia, and AMD hardware included in the system. This gives it a very great gaming performance.
Some specification of Dell XPS 730 H2C:
- Intel Core2 Extreme QX9770 (12MB,3.2GHz Factory O/C’d to 3.8GHz
- Operating System- Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium
- Monitors - 24 inch E248WFP Wide screen Digital Flat Panel Monitor
- Optical Drives - Single Drive: 16X CD/DVD burner (DVD+/-RW) w/double layer write capability
- Memory - 4GB3 Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1333MHz - 4 DIMMs
- Hard Drives - 500GB4 - Seagate 7200RPM, SATA 3.0Gb/s, 16MB Cache
- Video Cards- DUAL CARDS: nVidia GeForce 9800 GT 512MB2 SLI
- Sound Cards - Sound Blaster® X-Fi XtremeGamer (D) Sound Card
The price of the Dell XPS 730 H2C is approximately $5,089. Using some Dell Coupons could save 21% off which is around over $1000 savings.
I would like to use the machine not only for gaming, but for office work also at home. So, a Microsoft Office Small Business 2007, Full Version office suite would be a fine addition. It cost around 450$ but after using an Office Depot Coupons, I could save $180.
Internet connectivity is important for me. I plan to have the Dell XPS desktop computer connected to a nearby Wifi Hot Spot. Using some Belkin Wireless Router would be good, and some Best Buy Coupons could be used to have a bit of savings on the purchase.
Finally, to add a touch of personalization, I would have some custom designed sticker from VistaPrint. I could also make use of some VistaPrint Coupons to have some free goodies and discount on print items.
That completes the whole set of computer desktop just right for my personal needs at home. It would be much more expensive to have all of it without the help of some discount coupons from BestOnlineCoupons.com website. Shopping online is really cheaper with the help of these discount coupons. I sometimes take a look on the latest deals available from the website before actually buying the goodies on the online shop. With that I could have savings on my purchase and what more the site’s services of providing discount coupons are free.

Digital photography is a new technology fad. Almost everyone’s getting crazy of having the most advance digital camera. It really makes taking photos very easy. Digital camera have brought about tons of photos which might not be possible before. I could not just imagine the time taken to make a perfect shot before as it’s very expensive to develop a photo. Now, times have changed everyone could easily capture precious moments in a breeze with digital camera.
Having lots of photos make you think of what could possibly be done with it. Well videos and photo slide shows are also another area of extension of the flat images from digital camera. It only show what could be done with flat images or photos when it’s processed by technology. These are creative ways of manipulating photos to recreate virtual reality.
Photosynth software is a new addition to the vast image manipulation tools available today. The software basically needs around 20 to 300 photos of an object or place to be processed depending on the size. The photos are not necessarily taken at the same time. Even if the images are from different camera, Photosynth will determine the relationship between the images and stitch them into a 3D model. The final output is similar to the PC video games that we play around. You can really have a virtual tour out of a series of images with detail and clarity as if your are really in the scene.
Yes, this is a Microsoft product so it runs basically on Windows XP or Vista. Versions for other platform are still planned. Photosynth works with DirectX 7 capable video cards together with Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox 2 or much better browsers. The Photosynth software is provided free of charge by Microsoft. This is a truly amazing software. Why don’t you give it a spin? For more information visit: http://livelabs.com/photosynth/.

Communication is an innate aspect of humans. People need to communicate to each other on a daily basis. That’s why there’s a growing number of mobile phone user’s all around the globe. There are instances that having a voice call would be unnecessary or impractical. For example calling around 100 sales force for an emergency meeting would be better done with Short Messages Service (SMS). This is somewhere in between a voice call and an email.
In my experience it would be cost effective to communicate through web SMS and even on the office it’s more practical to use an pc sms messenger rather than a phone. The advantage would be that people could go over the message again and again if needed without having to ask the person again. This improves communication in the office.
SMS have evolved much to allow a variety of communication channels. There’s SMS messenger from PC to PC software like YM, Google Talk, MSN which I find useful in communicating with family, friends and office colleagues. Email SMS is one of those SMS applications that sends SMS to a mobile phone or computer SMS messenger client. Another important application is the functionality to get alerts via SMS from server monitoring software. The possibility of SMS application in communication is as wide as you could imagine. There will be more future developments in these area where Internet and telecommunication services converge.

Growing an online presence calls for creativeness whether you are having a small business website or a personal blog site. More importantly when it involves marketing online. Smaller business could consider having a website for their products and services. A good strategy for the business to succeed online is to implement multiple domain. This means registering more premium domain for the main website. I could see from a practical stand point the benefits of additional domain name and web hosting.
Benefits of Additional Domain Name and Web Hosting:
MINIMAL COST:
Selecting a suitable domain name which is business keyword related could result in more natural search engine traffic. Investing in a secondary or additional domains to direct to the main website will also generate traffic at a minimal cost than by buying pay per click or print advertising service.
STRONG BRANDING:
Getting an additional domain which is related to your product or service sends solidifies your Internet presence. It shows seriousness in building brand through consistent message to customers. This will also prevent loss of business due to people not being able to reach your business site. As an example, a computer distributor’s would benefit having additional sites on office supplies, PC gaming, and student needs website.
UNLIMITED AUDIENCE:
Investing on different domains and web hosting for geographic specific audience. A business could invest in an international primary domain like “dot com” while a second would be country specific like “dot th” or a third will be region wide specific like “dot Asia” and the list could go more. This only shows that there will be unlimited audience being reached for each site. So reaching more audience with a variety of domain extensions possible.
FUTURE INVESTMENT:
Domain names could be considered as an investment. I have seen domain names being sold for $200 to even $4000 and more. Thus, through time a domain name could increase in value. More so if they have acquired traffic and top search engine position during those period. Investing in multiple domain names is like building a valuable portfolio of assets.
Those are some of the points that I could say investing in premium domain names and web hosting is a clear benefit. Investing in multiple domains needs some web hosting altogether. One could put additional domains as an add-on to the present hosting, but I don’t encourage this as search engines are getting sophisticated algorithms. The links pointing to same domains are having little value to the new search engine rankings. Maybe invest a little more on another hosting. You could find some listings from 4 Cheap Web Hosting or other web hosting reviews for additional hosting needs. Aside from that think of domains that are having value in itself. Internet domain names that is in itself a valuable keyword.

Digital camera have provided photo enthusiast and photo addicts with easy and simple way of capturing every precious moment. Plain and ordinary happenings in our lives are captured with no hassle of developing roll of films. Just plug the camera with a USB cord to a computer’s USB port and you can immediately view the photos with an image viewer.
The images taken from a digital camera could be stored on DVD’s or CD’s in a form of a slide show. This would be convenient for later viewing of photos on a DVD or VCD player at home. Another way of keeping and viewing captured moments is through a digital photo frame. The photo frames comes in various sizes. You can click here for 10 inch frames detailed features. WordPress 2.6 is one of the latest release of the blogging software. Unfortunately, there seems to be some bug on the software. I have for example added some image on the post and specified the alignment to be right. On TinyMCE entry form view it already shows the image on the right together with some caption. But viewing it on the browser after saving on the server does not show the image as aligned to the right.
The image was still aligned on the left and the caption that I have added on the image was not even shown. I don’t know if you have experienced this. This was a kind of bug I guess which hopefully will be solved in the later versions.
The solution that I have used is to manually have the image inside a TABLE tag and have the table tag set as align right format. This might not be the best solution, but I find it works well.
<table border="0" cellpadding="5" align="right">
<tbody>
<tr>
<td><img src="image source" alt="" /></td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>
The above code shows how to put the image inside a table tag and have it aligned right. The captions doesn’t work on this though. I hope WordPress 2.6 succeeding release will fix this bug. Have you ever bumped into this problem?

Blog or website have something to offer to their visitors. There are businesses that needs to target certain niche of audience. Giving a value to your website visitors is an important factor in maintaining audience and site popularity. A way of understanding the site visitors would be the first step. Collecting information about a visitor’s IP Address could help unravel numerous information which could be used for creating value to target viewers.
A software called IP2Location is one such tool that could be used by webmasters to determine the website visitor’s exact geographical location with information like country, region, city, ZIP code, time zone, net speed, ISP and a lot more. It is some kind of a huge database which stores those information together with IP addresses and any look up on those IP address will result out the related information stored. The latest release of IP2Location software like the DB15-DB18 packages have the capability to show even the IDD code, area code, weather station name and weather station code. I don’t really know what more data could be stored in the future to tie up with an IP address.
A free demo at http://www.ip2location.com/demo.aspx shows some of the capability of the software. Below is one of the webmaster tools that could be added as a widget to the website.

Knowing these information could really make the one have a more tailored service to the website visitors. Optimized Internet marketing of goods and services through better understanding of the website viewers is a great advantage over the competition in a global audience.
